Open the Finder, then navigate the file to the folder you want to transfer to an Android device or vice versa, and start dragging and dropping. After completing the file transfer, click Android File Transfer > Exit Android File Transfer. You can immediately revoke the Android device.

Note: In the Android File Transfer application you cannot cut and paste. To transfer files, your only choice is drag and drop. But that doesn't matter, because most MacOS users prefer drag and drop rather than copy / paste.
